Meet the Instructors

Lisa Lavoie Owner/ Pole Instructor

Lisa, took her first class 4 years ago in 2009 at the age of 40, she says it keeps her youthful and strong. Her goal is to create a sanctuary for women to come and feel comfortable and safe. As they blossom into beautiful, confident, strong, and healthy women.

Lauren Demers

Lauren's career is in high tech but her heart and soul are in dance.  She was a competitive dancer into high school and an all star cheerleader through college, but entering the real world left little time for competitive sports.  Finally after trying adult dance classes for a few years, she found Zumba.  Taking Zumba classes for a year enabled Lauren to "quench that dance craving" and finally in January of 2011, she signed up to become an instructor and has been at D~L Fitness Studios ever since!  Her goal as a Zumba instructor is to bring together the community of dance enthusiasts who thought they had to leave their childhood dance dream behind, but to also wake up those closet dancers out there and show you how much FUN getting fit can be ... no matter your age, shape or size!  Her classes are very high energy and her teaching style is nothing short of entertaining.  We hope you'll join her at DL to "Ditch the Workout, Join the Party(TM)" with Zumba!!

Lauren Forest

Lauren started taking Pole Fitness at D~L Fitness about a year ago. She's worked her way up through the classes until she recently became an instructor. "Pole Fitness has truly changed my life. I look better now than I did 10 years ago, and more importanly I feel better about myself than I ever have. After years of feeling weaker than others and struggling with my self-image, I found something in dancing that made me feel strong, sexy, and empowered."

Phyllis Duff

I am a full time undergraduate student studying Natural Science and Education. I started poling a little over a year ago and immediately fell in love with it. It was the perfect way to relieve my stress and build confidence. On top of pole and school, I do cross fit and play guitar. My goal is to use pole as a means of expression and help others have fun while getting an amazing workout!

Elizabeth De Zulueta

Lizzy is a graduate student studying Robotics Engineering but is a girl who has always had a passion for dance. She took dance classes on and off as a young girl but never seriously until she found belly dancing in 2006. After a few years hard at work in a lab, she decided to get back to her first passion and that is when she found DL and chair dancing. DL has helped her bring her sassiness back and she wants to help every girl discover her own sassiness.
